At least 27 people have been killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, according to media reports.
Among the dead were eight men assigned to protect aid convoys, reportedly killed during the latest round of airstrikes, even as ceasefire negotiations continued in Doha, Reuters reported.
While a US official expressed optimism about the progress of the talks, two Hamas representatives told Reuters there had been no breakthrough, as Israeli military operations in Gaza persisted.
In a separate incident, the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem reported that two women and one man were killed, and several others wounded, in a strike on Gaza’s Holy Family Church, which serves a small local parish.
