The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) says 39 percent of households in Afghanistan are facing severe water shortages due to dried up water resources.
OCHA wrote on its website that 39 percent of households in Afghanistan are facing severe water shortages and 23 percent use contaminated water.
It said $264 million was needed to provide water, health and sanitation services in Afghanistan by 2025, of which only $8.4 million has been provided so far.
