The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced its Men’s T20I Team of the Year 2024 on Saturday, featuring veteran leggie Rashid Khan from Afghanistan.
Khan was excellent in 2024, leading Afghanistan’s bowling attack, taking 31 wickets in 14 matches.
Khan’s performances were exceptional last year, particularly in the T20 World Cup where Afghanistan found their way to semi-final for the first time.

Rohit Sharma from India as captain, Travis Head (Australia), Phil Salt (England), Babar Azam (Pakistan), Nicholas Pooran (West Indies), Sikandar Raza (Zimbabwe), Hardik Pandya (India), Rashid Khan (Afghanistan), Wanindu Hasaranga (Sri Lanka), Jasprit Bumrah (India), Arshdeep Singh (India).
On Friday, ICC announced the One-Day International team of 2024 year, which featured three Afghan players Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar and Azmatullah Omarzai.
