At least 10 people were killed and 31 others injured as a fire broke out at a hotel in one of Türkiye’s renowned tourist destinations, on Tuesday morning.
Türkiye Today reported the fire erupted in the hotel’s restaurant area and quickly engulfed the entire building in Bolu’s Kartalkaya Ski Resort.
Emergency teams, including firefighters and medics, were dispatched to the scene. Bolu Governor Abdulaziz Aydın said the cause of the fire was unclear.
Guests were evacuated immediately. But as the hotel was fully booked due to the midterm school holiday, the fire claimed 10 lives and left 31 others injured, according to preliminary findings.
Efforts to control the fire and investigate its cause are ongoing.
