Soon the Hamas-Israel ceasefire and hostage release deal, at least 30 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli air airstrikes on Gaza, say media reports.
The UN welcomed the ceasefire and hostage release agreement between the warring parties in the troubled Palestinian enclave.
Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, the prime minister of Qatar, told a press conference that Hamas and Israel agreed to a ceasefire and hostage release deal that would come into force on Sunday.
Al Jazeera reported shortly after the ceasefire deal was reached, Israeli forces targeted a number of locations including on Jabalia and Beit Lahia.
According to the TV channel, at least 30 Palestinian were killed in the strikes. However Reuters said 32 people were killed in the fresh air raids.
According to the Hamas-run health ministry, more than 46,700 people have been killed 110,000 others injured and many more displaced in Gaza since the start of the conflict.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres welcomed the deal and called for its complete implementation.
Guterres urged the two sides and relevant partners to seize this opportunity to establish a credible political path to a better future for Palestinians, Israelis and the broader region, ending the occupation and achieving a negotiated two-state solution.
