A fast-spreading wildfire in the Los Angeles city of California state has forced 30,000 people to abandon homes, says a media report.
According to Reuters news agency, the fire erupted at 10:30am on Tuesday in Los Angeles forests.
As the fire continues to spread, a state of emergency was declared and residents were asked by local officials to leave their homes.
About 30,000 residents in the path of the fire, covering around 1,200 hectare of land, were asked to leave their homes, the report said.
Many parts of the US states have experienced such fires in the past as well due to natural causes.
