The European Council has announced its member countries have agreed to pay 4.1 billion euros to Ukraine as part of an aid package.
In a statement on Monday, the EU Council said the government of Ukraine would receive the second regular payment of grants and loans under the EU’s Ukraine Facility.
The fund is a part of the EU plan for economic support to the government of Ukraine against the ongoing Russian invasion.
The EU Council stressed the importance of allocating the money as soon as possible, given the difficult fiscal situation in Ukraine.
On Sunday, the US government also announced a package of $988 million for Ukraine for purchasing missiles, drones and aircraft parts.
