The Afghan consulate in Karachi has announced the release of 44 Afghans, including 21 students, from Pakistani prisons.
In a statement, the Afghan consulate in Karachi said that these individuals had been released from various jails in Karachi and were repatriated to Afghanistan via the Torkham crossing.
The consulate added that these prisoners had been detained due to issues with legal documentation. The consulate covered all expenses related to their release, including transportation, food, prison fines, and legal fees.
