Turkey could enter Israel in support of Palestinian people, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has warned.
Daily Saba quoted the president, a vociferous critic of Israeli strikes on Gaza, as saying that Turkey could enter Israel just like it had intervened in Karabakh and Libya.
According to the pro-government newspaper, Erdoğan told a gathering of the ruling Justice and Development Party: “If (we) get stronger, Israel cannot do what it is doing in Palestine now.”
Turkey had deployed its military forces in 2020 to the North African country (Libya) and Azerbaijan against the occupation of Karabakh by Armenia.
In his televised speech, Erdogan insisted: “There is no reason why we cannot do this … We must be strong so that we can take these steps.”
