Israeli security forces have committed crimes against humanity during the ongoing war in Gaza, finds a UN investigation.
AFP reported on Wednesday the Israeli crimes included that of “extermination. The first comprehensive probe by the world body also blamed Palestinian groups for war crimes.
The Jewish state, the inquiry panel concluded, was involved in war crimes, crimes against humanity and violations of international humanitarian law.
It added: “The commission found that the crimes against humanity of extermination; murder; gender persecution targeting Palestinian men and boys; torture and inhuman and cruel treatment were committed.”
More than 37,000 people in Gaza, mostly civilians, have been killed in Israel’s offensive, says the Palestinian health ministry.
