Besides the loss of precious lives, 4,000 houses and 10,000 livestock have been perished by a recent flash floods in northern Baghlan province, an official said on Sunday.
Mawlavi Mustafa Hashami, head of the Information and Cultural Affairs Department, said a result of two days of unstopped rainfall and flash floods 4,000 homes destroyed, 2,000 were partially damaged and up to 10,000 livestock perished.
He added the figures were not final and could increase.
Sardar Wali, a tribal elder of the Baghlan-i-Markazi district, said that until now people searched in water for the bodies of the relatives.
According to the government figures 315 people have been killed and 1,630 others injured due to flash floods in Baghlan province.
