The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has decided to release 42 Afghan prisoners from various prisons of the country, the Afghanistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said on Thursday.
In a statement, MoFA said the UAE government had decided to release 42 Afghan prisoners as a result of continuous efforts of the Afghan Embassy in that country.
MoFA said some prisoners had been freed and others would be released in near future.
According to the statement, the acting government is committed to keeping itself informed about Afghan citizens in the world and taking concrete steps to solve their problems.
