Afghan all-rounder Gulbadin Naib will play for the Delhi Capitals franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Afghanistan Cricket Board confirmed on Wednesday.
ACB verified to Pajhwok Afghan News that the Delhi Capitals (DC) had approached all-rounder Naib and he would join the franchise soon.
Naib would be the ninth Afghan player to take part in the world-famous IPL.
Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Azmatullah Omarzai, Fazl Haq Farooqi, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Noor Ahmad Lakanwal, Naveen-ul-Hap, and Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar are the Afghan cricketers playing in the current IPL season.
