The Ministry of Refugee and Repatriation says more than 3,800 Afghan refugees have been deported or voluntarily returned to the country from Pakistan and Iran in the past seven days.
MoRR wrote on its X handle that 301 people, comprising 58 families, deported from Pakistan through Torkham.
On the other hand, 3,524 people voluntarily returned to the country via Islam Qala port in Herat province during the period.
Two days ago, Amnesty International (AI) has asked Pakistan to immediately halt continued detentions, deportations and widespread harassment of Afghan refugees.
