The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has named a 15-member squad for the three match T20 series against Ireland.
Afghanistan T20 captain and veteran leggie Rashid Khan has returned to the squad for the first time since the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
Rashid has not played a competitive game since the tournament in India but travelled with the team for the bilateral series in India, although he was deemed unfit to play eventually.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Mohammad Nabi, Noor Ahmad, Qais Ahmad, Sharafuddin Ashraf, Allah Ghazanfar and Nangyal Kharoti handled spin duties in his absence.
Rashid will lead the side on his return while Mujeeb ur Rahman also makes a comeback from his injury.
