Over 4,000 Afghans deported or returned voluntarily from Pakistan and Iran in the past seven days, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said on Thursday.
On its Twitter handle the MoRR, wrote 729 persons accounted for 190 families have been deported from Pakistan via Torkham and Spinboldak crossing.
In the same period 3,352 individuals have returned voluntarily from Iran via Islam Qala and Nimroz crossings.
Iranian News Agency IRNA reported citing Khurasan Rezvi province Police Chief Sardar Majid Shuja who said in the past 15 days 20,000 Afghans have been arrested and returned back to Afghanistan via Dogharon border.
This comes that earlier, IOM said over 500,000 Afghans returned to Afghanistan in the past four months.
