The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has appointed Nicholas Trevor Lee as the national team’s new strength and conditioning trainer.
Hailing from England, Lee is set to join the team on February 23, ahead of Afghanistan’s all-format home series in March against Ireland.
ACB wrote on its X handle the 40-year-old was a former right-hand batsman for Kent, having played 13 matches in his first-class career.
Nicholas Lee most recently served as the head of physical performance for the Bangladesh Cricket Board since March 2020.
He also served as strength and conditioning trainer with the Sri Lankan cricket team from 2016 to 2020.
The strength and conditioning trainer position was previously held by Jason Douglas from June 2014 to December 2023.
The ACB recently appointed Shane McDermott as the national team’s new fielding coach.
