Another 350 more Afghan refugees have landed in Canada, with their number set to reach 40,000 by the end of 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) says.
The IRCC announced their arrival in Toronto on its Twitter page on Wednesday. However, IRCC did not say from which country they had been evacuated.
Since the beginning of the immigration programme in August 2021, 35,000 Afghan nationals have been evacuated to Canada.
Canada has affirmed its commitment to the resettlement of at least 40,000 Afghans until the end of 2023, IRCC added.
Last month, it may be recalled, Canada evacuated 309 Afghan refugees to Calgary city.
