Afghanistan, China and Russia are declared among the worst countries in human trafficking in the US annual report surveying human trafficking around the globe, according to media report.
In the recently published US Department of State’s annual report on human trafficking, Afghanistan finds itself among the 11 countries where government involvement in trafficking is prevalent.
The report highlights instances of forced labor, human trafficking within government programs and camps, and documented strategies to lure and exploit children.
The source said that Afghanistan is included in the list of countries whose government have supported armed groups, recruited or abused children from April 2021 to March 2022.
However, the caretaker government of Afghanistan last year said that they would expel children from their ranks.
The Islamic Emirate also promised it did not allow any armed group to operate in Afghanistan.
