Security officials in western Nimroz province on Sunday said they had arrested three persons on the charges of human trafficking in the province.
Nimroz police spokesman BahramHaqmal said the men who had confessed on their crime were arrested by police in Zaranj city, the provincial capital, on Saturday.
The traffickers smuggled people across the border into Iran through Diwar Sarhadi border area which has been declared a no-go area, he said.
Haqmal said that the cases of these individuals have been handed over to the judiciary after a preliminary investigation.
Detention of these individuals comse as the number of people leaving the country has increased after political changes in Afghanistan.
